WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE HEINEKEN HOTTEST 7'S IN THE WORLD  2008 CROC WINNERS_SOUTH SEA DRIFTERS

The Heineken Hottest 7's in the World commenced in 2005 after previously being the Territory 7's in Darwin, Northern Territory Australia. An event that had been staged since 1989.

During that period the tournament was predominately a club competition, but certainly had some quality champions with Duavata, Potoroos, Sydney Uni and Randwick featuring on the trophy.

In 2004 it was determined that the event needed a 'facelift' to bring it back to the glory days and develop into a truely international tournament. In 2005 the prizemoney was substantially increased and international teams were invited to come and participate.  It also was important to make sure that club teams were still part of this great event and were given the opportunity to mix it with the best. This has been acheived with teams coming from the Pacific, Asia, NSW, South Australia, Queensland, Africa along with the locals of Northern Territory. Along with this it caters for the Men and Women.

It has truely established as an event that will continue to grow. We hope to encourage the regular teams to keep making the trip and invite other new teams to come and enjoy the fun of 7's in the remote and wonderful city of Darwin.
