Welcome to the 2010 Heineken Hottest 7s in the World, a wonderful precursor to our annual Australia Day celebrations.

It is the fifth anniversary of this international event and many friendships have been established between the players, coaches and supporters.

Last year’s final saw the Samoan Barbarians win with an outstanding last minute try. In recent times, our South Pacific neighbours have endured natural disaster and great sadness and we extend our sympathies and encouragement to all who have been affected.

The International Olympic Committee’s vote to include Rugby Sevens in the 2016 Olympic Games underlines what we all know – it is a truly international and inspirational sport.

The Northern Territory is proud to be known for the “Hottest 7s in the World” and we wish all our visitors a memorable time in The Top End.
