Prizemoney for the 2010 event increases to a record $65,000 AUD

The organisers of the 2010 Heineken Hottest 7's in the World are delighted that they are increasing the prizemoney for the 2010 tournament to a record $65,000. A decision that will 'wet the mouth' of teams that will be travelling to the 2010 tournament.

"We are happy to announce this increase, which is recognition of how the event has grown over the last 4 years. In 2005 we had a then record of $20,000 for the competing teams." said Tim Heath of the organising committee. "This growth has not only been a conscious decision by the committee, but with the increased quality of the teams, along with the tremendous support provided by the Northern Territory Government we have been able to really make a prize worthy of competing for."
