Amazons Womens Team to include full compliment of Australian International Players including sister of Wallaby Vice Captain

Wallaby Star Matt Giteau’s sister Kristy to play at the 2010 Heineken Hottest 7’s in the World Event in Darwin. The strong Amazons Invitation Women’s team will make the trip to Darwin with dual International and older sister Kristy Giteau of Wallaby Star and Vice Captain Matt. Kristy who won her first Wallaroos Cap against Samoa this year as a Winger will be travelling to Darwin with the strong Amazons Invitation team.

This team features a squad that has seen all players who have represented Australia at either 15’s, 7’s or both, with three players who won the inaugural World Cup 7’s Crown in Dubai last March. The team will be captained by the captain of the Australian 15’s and 7’s, Cheryl Soon. 

The 2010 Women’s competition will be the strongest to date and will feature the state teams of Queensland, Victoria, ACT, South Australia and of cause the NT. They will also be joined by 1^st Brigade Women’s, a second NT side and hopefully the PNG team, who were a great success in 2007.
