Kenya to compete at the Heineken Hottest 7's in the World

The Kenyan Rugby Football Union have confirmed that the national team will compete at the Darwin Event on the way to the IRB Series in Wellington and Las Vegas.

NTRU CEO has been in discussion with the Kenyan Rugby Union and been informed that the team has organised flights via Darwin to compete as ideal preparation before the team travels to the IRB events in Wellington and Las Vegas.

The national team from Kenya has been an inspiration during the last 12 months where they have been one of the form sides during the IRB series, also featuring in the World Cup semi finals. The team lost narrowly recently to New Zealand at both the Dubai and South Africa series matches, with an identical score line of 17-14 in both tournaments at the knock out stage. These close matches are an indication of where the Kenyan team are at the moment and will certainly claim an inaugural series event soon.

The organisers of the Darwin event are very excited about the teamn attending the 2010 event and are looking forward to final confirmation once the team has secured visas. The team will also remain in Darwin for the following week where they will will train with the Australian team in preparation for the Wellington event.
