The Amazons Womens Team seeded No. 1 in the Womens Division
With a record number of teams in the 2010 Womens competition the Amazons have deservedly won the top seeding with a strong team coming to the Darwin event. The team has several members who have competed for Australia at 7's and 15's including members of the successful Australian World Cup squad from Dubai in 2009. The team will also be captained by Australian Captain Cheryl Soon who is coming back with several members from last year's Zoonators to defend their title. The Amazons will not have it all there own way with state sides, Queensland, ACT Fillies, Keah Victoria and the local NT sides all competing. There is no question that this will be the strongest Womens event to date, and we are looking forward to some great rugby. The competition will also have a team from Singapore the Asian Felines, joined by the Parap Tavern Bunnies, Spartans from one Brigade, South Darwin Bunmnies and for the first time a team from Alice Springs. | WOMEN | SEED | POOL | | Amazons | 1 | Pool A | | Queensland | 2 | Pool B | | ACT | 3 | Pool C | | KEAHI Victoria | 4 | Pool C | | Parap Village Bunnies | 5 | Pool B | | One Brigade Fury | 6 | Pool A | | South Darwin Bunnies | 7 | Pool A | | Alice Springs | 8 | Pool B | | Asian Felines | 9 | Pool C | |
